• CUCUMBER
  • Apply a thin slice of cucumber on your eyes for 15 mins daily. Cucumber slices are famous for their ability to reduce puffiness.
    Cucumber juice also works.



    • TEA BAG
  • Apply cool tea bags to the eyes for about 15-20 mins daily .The tannin in tea bags has been found to reduce swelling.


  • POTATO
Apply thin slice or juice of potato for about 30mins per day on your eyes. Warp some grated raw potato(either the yellow or white skin potato arefine)in a cotton and hold against your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.potato contains an enzyme known as catecholase, which is often used in cosmetics as a skin lightener.



  • ALMOND OIL

Massage Almond oil on your eyes for about 1 min before bed.




Recently i got a very old book "Herbs & Things" by Jeanne Rose. Published in the year 1972. i find it very interesting so just thought of sharing it and some remedies which i have read in some magazines.


Beauty Tips:


  • SUN TAN (Potato)
Grate some potatoes after removing the skin. squeeze 2 table spoon of juice from it and apply on your face for 15 mins and rinse off with water. This is a daily and effective remedy for sun tan.


  • DRY SKIN (Olive Oil)
Pour one table spoon of olive oil to a bucket of water, mix well and use this water to take bath.


  • NATURAL BLEACH (TOMATO, LIME)

Apply tomato juice or lime juice on to your face for 10 mins and then rinse off with water and then apply makeup.


tomato and lime are natural bleach if its applied on a daily basis it will give a bleaching effect and it will lighten the skin tone.
